Hacks for Data Analysis is the place that I built to consolidate and share my knowledge and experience by providing you with what you need to know, and I will show you this with practical examples. I was borned and raised in Brazil, and I was 12 years old when I had my first experience programming, where I studied Web Development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript/PHP).
But it wasn’t until university when I had hands-on experience. For about two years I worked for Huawei in São Paulo as a Wireless Engineering Intern, where I was selected to join in 2017 the Seeds for the Future Program, a Two-Week ICT (Information and Communications Technology) study program in China (Beijing and Shenzhen) where I learned about 5G Wireless Networks, Cloud Computing and much more.
In 2018, I took a new challenge and started a whole new experience in Germany where I currently live and work for DHL. In DHL I worked in different departments and that allowed me to explore Business Intelligence and report automation from different perspectives. Some projects that I worked in were:
Development of an internal Compensation review tool for executives using Macros & VBA;
Automation of payroll e-mail communication to executives using Macros & VBA;
Scorecards reporting automation using Web Scraping and Data Parsing to collect and analyze KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) from Operations and Finance;
Annual Risk Assessment Dashboard in Power BI to evaluate business KPIs from Operations, Customer Service, Finance and Commercial.
